I've got Spear-It how bout you? :)

Well, the Great Spear-It run was a success! Jes and I did awesome. The weather was perfect & 5 miles flew by like nothing. :)  The route was flat & I really enjoyed myself. I really like the energy I felt from the other excited runners. I feel good...enough said. :)

It's official!

Got our bib numbers & shirts today! Can't wait!!!

To run or not to run??? This is my question?

Well, an opportunity has presented itself. I've been wanting to do a half marathon for sometime now, but, I always feels like I'm just not ready. Anyways, I just found out there is gonna be the "Avenue of the Vines" half marathon next month in Lodi (the town next to mine).  I'm excited, but, the most I've ever run is 8.5 miles & it was a tough. A half marathon is a little over 13 miles...I'm thinking I could really do this, even if I have to walk some of it. Jesse has been so great & said he would run with me & support me during the run. :) He has run marathons, so his support will really help me out.

The 13 mile course takes place in the vineyards of Lodi. Lodi is a HUGE producer of the worlds wines....I love to run and I love my wine....Ummm? Could be the perfect combination for a run. Lol...I just might do it. :)

"Spear-It" run!

So excited! Jesse & I are running the "Great Spear-It" Run this weekend! It's a 5 mile run that kicks off our local 26th Annual Asparagus Festival. Our region is know for it's yummy asparagus, so, it's a pretty big deal! They even serve asparagus ice cream at the festival. :)

Still running. :)

Haven't posted in awhile. Been busy with life. :) But....I'm still running, running, running! The last run I did was on Jan. 22, 2011. It was the "St. Joseph's Fun Run"... a run for one of our local hospitals to promote wellness. I ran the 5k with a couple girlfriends. It was a beautiful winter morning & it was a lot of fun. Jesse & the kids came to cheer me on...always nice to have family support. ♥

Whew! All done!

My cheering section!
